After we said our goodbyes to Uncle Nick and Carol, we made our way downtown to visit Erin, Allan, and their 10 month old baby, Imogen. Skylee and Imogen had a lot of fun playing with Imogen's little toys. Skylee even tried reading a few of her books to the baby. After a few errands, we changed into our costumes and started Trick or Treating in Erin's dad's neighborhood. Thankfully we brought sweaters as it got chilly quickly. Skylee got used to trick or treating right away! She would dart in front of everyone to the door, ring the doorbell, tell everyone to step back and anxiously wait for someone to appear. "Trick or Treat!!!" she'd yell excitedly. She always went for the M&Ms!
Erin brought a little wagon and pulled Skylee and Imogen along.

My favorite house: an elderly man answered the door and asked Skylee if she wanted a trick or a treat. After a moment considering her options, she replied "Chocolate." As he was grabbing his candy bowl, a few more trick or treaters came along so he asked how many he needed. "I need 20." Skylee was quick to respond. :)
After our bag was filled with candy and my toes were numb (I didn't bring socks), we started home, but didn't make it far before Skylee fell asleep. In the morning, when she woke up, first thing she wanted to do was make sure her candy was still there. We dumped it all out, and she was amazed at how much she had. She told me she wanted to go trick or treating again. Next year, little candy addict. :)
Next year, if you're in town, I'd love to take her to Lake Forest. Maybe she could be a Chocobo! haha
